Meet Our Team

Heather Umbreit
Managing Partner

Heather keeps our operation running by doing all of the important, behind-the-scenes tasks that make our business possible. A graduate of West Chester University of Pennsylvania, Heather was previously a program manager at a large global pharmeceutical company and helped to drive products from research to clinical study to FDA approval and release to market. Travels took her worldwide during her 17 years with the company.

Heather enjoys ice skating, gardening, walks at beautiful nearby Longwood Gardens, and spending time with her family at one of many Burke Playgrounds!

Kevin Umbreit, CPSI

Vice President and District Sales Representative (Philadelphia Playground Sales; Delaware Playground Sales; New Jersey & Other)

Kevin leads our Playground Sales team with strong skills developed through his background with small businesses, ensuring smooth performance in all projects for our customers. Following graduation from Purdue University in 2006 with a BS in Business Management and an AS in Computer Technology, Kevin worked as the general manager of a small plastics manufacturing firm in the Philadelphia area for 3 years before joining a major software company in the Great Valley tech corridor as a training and technical support team member. His work has taken him to South Africa, Mexico, Hawaii, and many of the continental states of the US.

Some highlights of Kevin's time with Recreation Resource include installing a playground on a rooftop in Philadelphia with a group of volunteers; being awarded Burke Playground Project of the Year (2018) for East Goshen Township Park; and being able to travel throughout the beautiful state of Pennsylvania. In addition to covering Pennsylvania and Delaware Playground Sales, Kevin facilitates splash pad sales in New Jersey. Kevin is a Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI); National Playground Contractors Association (NPCAI) Recreation Installer Specialist Certified (RISC); and Burke-Factory Certified Installer. Residing in Kennett Square, PA with his wife, son, and two daughters, Kevin's outside interests include cooking, running, coaching hockey, and all things automotive.

Peter Seirsdale, CPSI

District Sales Representative (W. PA & WV)

Peter joined the Recreation Resource USA team to pursue sales in Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Peter brings over 35 years of construction and design experience to our Recreation Resource team. His background includes all aspects of residential and commercial construction, community development and design, and industry education. He graduated from the University of West Georgia, and attended graduate school at Northwestern University. Peter has been involved in various civic groups and committees including Children’s Theatre, Boy Scouting, Little League, and the Frederick County Builders Association Government Affairs Committee. He lives on a farm in Southwestern Pennsylvania.

Timothy D. Umbreit

CPA

Tim graduated from Clarion University in Pennsylvania and received his CPA certification shortly thereafter. He has worked for many years in his own CPA firm serving a network of private and governmental clients representing a wide variety of business entities. He is a member of the AICPA, PICPA and the DSCPA.

Tim has been active in various organizations, including the Kennett Park and Recreation Board (president and treasurer), Kennett Consolidated School Board of Education (treasurer), Kennett Square Lions Club, Kennett Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors (president and treasurer), Symphony Endowment Fund (treasurer) and the Kennett Ice Hockey Club (president).
